When I'm going on holiday, the last thing I want to think of is buying extra items to take away with me. Of course I pick up new sandals, playsuits and sunglasses but when it comes to skincare I tend to forget that I need mini products or higher SPF items. Bioderma have sent over two products for me to try out over the Summer; the Photoderm M Tinted Protective Cream which is SPF 50 and the Sensibio H2O Micellar Water.
I was hesitant to try the Photoderm M Tinted Protective Cream (£10.50) as it's tinted and I'm pretty much white in skin colour. I'm normally the lightest shade in foundations and having tinted products tend to scare me off. It's a product that's high in SPF for sun protection and guarantees a very high UVA/UVB protection against visible radiation to minimise the risk of pigmentation. The exclusive Cellular Bioprotection patent activates the skin's natural defences, combats against premature skin aging and protects skin cells. You can use it every day, all year-round and apply it in the morning as a day cream. You should reapply after sports and swimming activities. I like that this is an SPF product that will really help keep your skin safe, but as expected the tint was a tad dark for me which you can see through if I apply foundation on top. On holiday it would be great as it would add that tint that would make me look more tanned, but every day in the UK it's too dark for me.
I've actually been using the Sensibio H2O Micellar Water for a few years now, ever since I picked it up in Paris three years ago. It's a cleansing and makeup-removing water that isn't harsh on sensitive skin. You can use it anytime of the day using a cotton pad and you don't need to wash it off with water, just like other micellar waters. It's in my top 2 of micellar waters and works like a dream. I've used up this little bottle but I'm going to keep it to refill for future travels and trips.
Bioderma is a brand I respect a lot. They put a huge amount of research into their skincare products and there is no doubt that I'll be trying some of their other items in the future, maybe including a non-tinted SPF to wear under my foundation daily. If you have sensitive skin, I highly recommend checking out some of their products.
